Anna Maria College: Preparing Students for Tomorrow’s Careers

Anna Maria College in Paxton is making big changes to help students succeed in tomorrow’s job market. The school has launched new programs and upgraded its facilities to give students the skills they need for careers in business, healthcare, and athletics. An Open House for prospective students and families will be on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Healthcare Training That Saves Lives

Anna Maria College also provides top-quality education for future nurses, EMTs, and paramedics. The college has built three simulation rooms that look and feel like real hospitals and emergency scenes.

Students learn using high-tech equipment that responds just like real patients would. Two trauma training models can simulate bleeding, heart problems, and breathing emergencies. CPR practice models give students instant feedback on how well they are performing life-saving procedures.

The college even has an ambulance simulator on campus where students learn to provide care while transporting patients. There is also a car crash training module where students from different health and public safety programs work together on rescue operations.

Students train with the same equipment they will use in hospitals and emergency situations. The labs include everything from IV practice stations to a complete ICU simulation room with ventilators and heart monitors. Students can earn important certifications like Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support before they graduate.

New AI Business Program Opens Doors

This fall, Anna Maria College became one of the first schools in the area to offer a major in AI for Business. The program teaches students how to use artificial intelligence in smart and ethical ways across different industry sectors, from small businesses to large companies.

College faculty say students want more than just technical knowledge. They want to learn how to be leaders who can use AI responsibly in any company or field.

The program combines traditional business classes with courses like “AI for Decision Making” and “AI Ethics.” Students learn how AI can transform businesses while understanding the importance of using this technology in ways that help society.

AI for Business students learn to make smart decisions and shape the digital economy in positive ways.

Anna Maria Athletics Aims High in New Conference

Anna Maria College football is also making headlines. The college joined the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) this year and the Football AMCATS are ranked fourth in the preseason coaches’ poll. Last season, the AMCATS finished with a 4-5 overall record but showed great promise, ranking 11th in the nation for passing and 16th for total offense.

Leading the team is 29-year-old Head Coach Tanner Kingsley, who is now the youngest college football head coach in the country. Under his leadership as offensive coordinator in 2023, Anna Maria had the top-ranked offense in New England, averaging 39.2 points per game.

Looking Forward

Anna Maria College continues to adapt to meeting the needs of today’s students. Whether students want to work with innovative technology, save lives in healthcare, or compete at the highest levels in Division III sports, the college provides the education and support they need to succeed.
