We will start with Steven and Helen Urbanovitch’s October day trip that followed Route 2 westbound, then meandered along back roads to where the Millers and Connecticut rivers meet at the border of the towns of Montague and Erving. Back up on Route 2, after you cross the majestic French King Bridge that spans the Connecticut River, park in a little lot and then walk back along the bridge. Look north and in the middle of the river you might see the top of French King rock for which the bridge is named.
