This day trip takes us to Northfield, MA for a cruise on the Connecticut River. The Heritage Riverboat offers a scenic 1.5-hour tour on its 44-seat boat, which is wheelchair accessible. It heads downstream towards Barton Cove passing through the scenic French King Gorge and beneath the French King Bridge.

Located at the Riverview Picnic area at 144 Pine Meadow Road, Northfield, the river boat operates Wednesday through Sunday from July through the second Monday in October, departing at 11 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3 p.m. Feel free to bring a snack and drink. While tickets are sold at the dock, there might not be any open seats, so tickets should be purchased online ahead of time. Adults: $15; Seniors (62 and over): $14; Children (age 12 and under) $8; Group 15 or more people: $14 each.
